Thisroledevelopsanddeliverseducationalprogramsforstaff,providers,andinterpreters;ensuresconsistentinterpreterworkflowsandregulatorycomplianceacrossallfacilities;andsupportstheeffectiveuseoflanguageaccesstechnologyandresources.TheEducationManagercollaborateswithclinicalteams,operationalleaders,ITpartners,andvendorstoensurestaffaretrainedonlanguageaccesspolicies,interpreterprotocols,andregulatoryrequirements. RESPONSIBILITIES Education Program Planning and Performance Monitoring Developanddeliversystem-wideeducationalprogramsforstaffandprovidersonlanguageaccesslaws,interpreteruse,andcommunicationstrategieswithLEPandDeaf/HardofHearingpatients. Managesystem-widein-servicesessionsandtrainingeventstoincreaseawarenessandensureregulatorycompliance. Overseebilingualstaffassessmentlogisticsandlanguageproficiencyscreeningcoordinationinalignmentwithsystemprocedures. Developstrategicgoalsandoperationalplansforlanguageaccesseducationprogramsalignedwithorganizationalpriorities. Description TheForeignLanguageMedicalInterpreterprovidesaccurateconsecutiveand/orsimultaneousinterpretationforpatientswithLimitedEnglishProficiency (LEP)andtheirfamiliestoensureclear,complete,andculturallyappropriatecommunicationthroughoutthecontinuumofcare. Servingasbothalanguagespecialistandculturalliaison,theinterpreterpromotesunderstandingbetweenpatientsandhealthcareproviders,supportsequitablecaredelivery,andensuresadherencetoregulatoryrequirementsandprofessionalstandards.Thisrolealsoparticipatesindepartmentaleducation,documentation,andperformanceimprovementinitiatives.
