About The Role Miva is currently seeking a skilled Full-Stack Web Developer to join its Professional Services team. This role is pivotal in building high-performance e-commerce experiences on the Miva platform by leveraging core web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript within a templating environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong solution engineering skills with deep e-commerce experience, focusing on delivering client-facing solutions that are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business objectives. As a key technical liaison, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and other delivery team members to translate complex business requirements into high-quality technical solutions. You will also communicate effectively with clients, translating technical concepts into understandable insights, ensuring seamless project execution within scope and timelines. This role emphasizes AI-driven development practices, utilizing AI tools for rapid prototyping, code generation, workflow automation, and performance optimization, all while maintaining high code quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional web development experience, with at least 1 year in e-commerce
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
  • Ability to develop cross-browser CSS without relying on CSS-in-JS libraries
  • Experience building API integrations using REST and/or SOAP protocols
  • Working knowledge of PHP and SQL-based databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Solid understanding of DOM manipulation without external libraries
  • Experience with Git workflows, including AI-enhanced pull requests and automated commits
  • Knowledge of performance optimization, SEO, and accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Excellent communication skills suitable for remote, collaborative environments
  • Ability to manage multiple client-facing projects effectively

Bonus qualifications include experience with platforms such as Miva, Shopify, BigCommerce, or Magento; familiarity with ERPs/CRMs like NetSuite, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics; experience with build tools like Webpack; modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel; containerization with Docker; agency or professional services experience; and building AI automation scripts or integrating AI agents into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain e-commerce storefronts utilizing HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript within Miva’s templating environment
  • Create efficient server-side logic using Miva Template Language (MVT) to support dynamic content delivery
  • Build and support integrations with external systems including REST/SOAP APIs, ERPs, CRMs, and other marketing tools
  • Act as a technical bridge between client storefronts and broader business ecosystems, ensuring seamless integration
  • Troubleshoot and resolve frontend, backend, and configuration issues across multiple platforms
  • Optimize website performance, SEO, accessibility, and conversion metrics, including Core Web Vitals, GA4, and GTM
  • Implement merchandising strategies, personalization features, promotions, and streamlined purchase flows
  • Ensure cross-browser and mobile device compatibility with a mobile-first approach
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline constraints
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to clients, providing actionable insights and guidance
