As a Wastewater Treatment Operator in Training in Wilsonville, OR, you will perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant. Priority is the Wastewater Treatment Plant maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs a full range of general maintenance and cleaning duties related to the wastewater treatment plant.

• Performs repairs to equipment, preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.

• Operates SCADA system daily checks.

• Identifies major problems with process, and process changes.

• Helps with/when needed to operate/check ten (10) Lift Stations including cleaning and inspection.

• Maintains records of basic operations, maintenance and work performed.

• Maintains maintenance records on the CMMS including review of completed work orders before closing work orders.

• Participates in on call for the Wastewater Treatment Facility rotation for weekends.

• Works safely and adheres to established safety procedures.

• Follows written and oral instructions.

• Ability to carry and respond to calls and pages as assigned by management.

• Work on-call shifts, as assigned, including being fit and able to respond to call-ins in a timely manner.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• 1-3 experience in operating water/wastewater treatment plants

• Ability to obtain Grade I Wastewater Treatment Certification within 1 year of hire

• Basic understanding of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to enter data into a maintenance management system

• A valid driver’s license with no major infractions

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• A current Oregon grade I wastewater treatment certification

• Basic familiarity of the principles and practices of water/wastewater treatment plant operations, valves, pumps, and motors

• Safe work practices
