Primary Roles And Responsibilities Include

  • Cultivating relationships with key decision makers and opinion leaders in our industry to create a successful CIRCOR M&A brand that positions us as the acquiror of choice within our industry
  • Building and maintaining an M&A funnel through close consultation with CIRCOR executive team and business leaders
  • Leading the identification, cultivation, due diligence, analysis and execution of acquisitions
  • Collaborating with business groups, functional groups, and integration leaders to ensure pre-signing, pre-close and post-close activities are planned and executed within the M&A project management framework
  • Monitoring the competitive landscape and major competitors, while providing the leadership with timely updates
  • Collaborating with the executive leadership team and KKR to identify, evaluate and prioritize new strategic M&A opportunities that will expand the Company’s footprint into complementary markets, and support its growth objectives and long-term vision
  • Establishing beneficial relationships with outside resources including investment banks and members of the financial community, leveraging KKR’s relationships where appropriate.
  • Present regular updates to the Board of Directors on M&A activities and priorities

Personal Qualifications The ideal candidate will be operating as a key leader in a corporate business development/ mergers & acquisitions organization. The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of work experience focused on business development in combination with financial analysis, strategic planning, merger integration, or transaction services including due diligence. Experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, or private equity with a focus on strategy and business development is a positive. Stylistically, this individual will be highly motivated, results-driven, and able to reinforce the momentum and entrepreneurial drive that characterizes the organization today.

This role requires a level of presence and poise to manage relationships with target owners and executives, and to deliver recommendations for investment to the executive team and KKR, while simultaneously working down to the execution level on tactical implementation. The professional and cultural agility to succeed in both arenas will be paramount to success.

The Successful Candidate Will

  • 10 years of experience in strategy development and strategic planning processes, M&A transactions, valuation, due diligence, and post-merger integration. Extensive transaction experience will be weighed as a key criteria
  • A proven track record of leading the pursuit and successful conclusion of transactions both domestically and internationally
  • Experience operating within a global, paced enterprise
  • Strong innate leadership skills – must possess the presence and maturity to represent the office of the CEO and KKR
  • Experience successfully operating within a de-centralized, business-unit driven enterprise
  • Passionate and dynamic leader with the energy and ability to work effectively across a complex, global organization
  • Keen ability to think deeply and quantitatively about business problems, breaking down problems and presenting solutions while evaluating the pros and cons of each option
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic orientation — demonstrated experience building complex financial models, performing financial analysis, assimilating multiple data points and quickly developing data-driven solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple projects (at various stages) at a given time
  • The successful candidate should be international in their outlook and understand the complexities of the international nature of the company’s plans
  • A demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence senior executives in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong executive maturity with the confidence to advocate a point of view but with an in-check ego to foster open communications and development
