About The Role The Video and Motion Graphics Editor at Rising Tide Interactive plays a vital role in conceptualizing, producing, and delivering compelling political video content designed to motivate and mobilize audiences. This creative professional is responsible for managing video projects from script to final cut, ensuring high-quality output that aligns with campaign strategies and digital best practices. The role requires a highly skilled individual with at least four years of experience in video editing and motion graphics, particularly in digital and social media environments. The ideal candidate will be adept at working in a fast-paced setting, balancing multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborating with a team of designers and editors to develop innovative visual content. This position offers flexibility with the option to work remotely or from our Washington, DC office, with a contract running through November 2026, and the potential for extension based on mutual interest and business needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years professional experience in video editing and motion graphics design
• Proven experience creating video content tailored for digital platforms and social media (Reels, Stories, TikTok, etc.)
• Strong understanding of the entire video production process from concept to delivery
• Experience working in the political or advocacy space is preferred
• Knowledge of media asset management platforms and solutions
• Familiarity with social media video specifications and tactics
• Excellent project management skills with strong organizational and communication abilities
• Quick editing skills with a keen eye for typography, pacing, and visual storytelling
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
• Flexibility, resilience, and problem-solving skills to meet deadlines under pressure
• Interest or experience in Democratic politics is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage video projects from initial script to final production, ensuring alignment with campaign goals and creative direction
• Develop innovative visual concepts and make design decisions independently or collaboratively
• Utilize original footage, stock video, motion graphics, visual effects, and audio to craft compelling content
• Stay current with digital video trends and platform-specific best practices
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely delivery of projects, adjusting timelines as necessary
• Assist with remote video shoots, including setup and on-site support
• Source and manage stock footage, voiceover artists, and background sound assets
• Ensure all video content meets quality standards and campaign specifications
• Maintain organized media libraries and manage digital assets efficiently
• Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and execute innovative video ideas
• Communicate project statuses and challenges effectively to stakeholders
