Unit Support Assistant – Facilities – Environmental Services

We are seeking a Unit Support Assistant to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The role involves routine housekeeping duties, responding to emergency spill cleanup, cleaning patient areas and equipment, transporting patients safely, and delivering specimens and supplies. The position aims to meet or exceed customer expectations as outlined in the Service Quality Agreement (SQA).

Key responsibilities include performing daily cleaning according to infection control protocols, demonstrating ownership and accountability in assigned zones, providing excellent customer service, and inspecting and maintaining patient equipment if assigned. All candidates will undergo respiratory fit testing to ensure workplace safety.

Requirements include at least one year of experience in environmental services in healthcare, hospitality, or cleaning services; a high school diploma or equivalent may substitute for experience. The role is full-time, night shift, located in Houston, TX, with no formal education requirement.
