Job Duties for TIG Welder Position:

• Read blueprints and instructions to determine welding specs and tolerances
• Perform TIG/GTAW welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and alloys meeting ASME/AWS codes
• Prepare workpieces via cleaning, grinding, and fixturing for alignment
• Set up TIG equipment adjusting voltage, amperage, and gas flow
• Operate hoists, cranes, and lifts to handle materials safely
• Inspect welds for defects using visual/NDT methods and rework as needed
• Maintain welding equipment and report issues
• Follow safety protocols, PPE, 5S, and Lean principles
• Collaborate with team on troubleshooting and production goals
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements and Desired Skills for TIG Welder Position:

• High School Diploma or GED ; completion of a vocational school or apprenticeship program in welding is strongly preferred
• Proven TIG experience in manufacturing, oil/gas, or power gen
• Wear PPE as required
• Use team lifting and equipment (hoists, cranes) for items over 50 lbs; lift up to 70 lbs individually regularly
• Visual acuity, including near vision, depth perception, and color vision, to perform detailed inspections of welds
• Blueprint reading and welding symbol proficiency
• Knowledge of metals, codes, and techniques
• Detail-oriented with strong hand-eye coordination
• Independent and team worker
• Ability to stand for duration of shift
• Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
