Role: Senior Technical Writer

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with development teams in a cross-functional and distributed environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background that enables effective communication with software engineers, product managers, and program managers.
You will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and high-quality documentation that supports developer workflows, onboarding, and internal technical enablement. This position also offers the opportunity to work with and describe AI-driven tools that enhance developer productivity and writing efficiency.
This team builds the foundational workflows and infrastructure that power our customer s most iconic products advocating for scalable design elements, reusable components, and safe, coherent user experiences that accelerate innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, organize, and author technical documentation for internal developer audiences, including:

• User manuals, onboarding guides, and system architecture overviews

• How-to articles, FAQs, release notes, and configuration guides

• Define documentation requirements and collaborate with engineering teams to create and maintain technical content.

• Partner with Product Managers, UX Designers, Developers, and QA teams to gather and validate source material.

• Translate complex technical concepts and workflows into clear, user-friendly content.

• Develop and maintain documentation templates and style guides for consistency across materials.

• Drive content strategy initiatives to improve onboarding efficiency and internal enablement.

• Review and update documents based on product releases and user feedback.

• Ensure documentation deliverables align with product release schedules and Agile development cycles.

Required Qualifications:

• 8-12 years of experience in technical writing , preferably within a product-based or SaaS environment.

• Proven experience creating onboarding documentation and user guides for technical teams.

• Strong ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and explain them in accessible language.

• Experience developing API , NLP , or developer-focused documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency with tools such as:

• Confluence, Notion, or similar documentation platforms

• Markdown and basic HTML/CSS

• Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar authoring tools (a plus)

• Basic understanding of version control systems like Git

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree or certification in Computer Science , Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience documenting enterprise software , internal tools , or AI/ML workflows.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted writing tools and modern documentation frameworks.
