DPP is seeking a System Testing Analyst for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Work location: Partial Onsite – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite and as needed

Duration : 12 months

Term : W2 position

Position summary:

  • Provide testing and testing services for multiple clients, including onsite service where needed.
  • Make recommendations to clients on how to improve testing activities.
  • Track quality assurance metrics.
  • Participate in the design phase of projects to ensure that new or modified functions are developed using correct testing methodology.
  • Arrange major activities between the client and IS staff to ensure maximum gain from technical resources.
  • Complete supportive administrative and lead activities such as attending sessions with customers, planning and disbursing projects to team members, completing reports and developing processes.
  • Perform testing duties which may involve reviewing test data, creating test cases, executing testing, and monitoring/documenting results.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to testing staff.

Soft skills:

  • Excellent project planning, organizational, time management and business analysis skills.
  • Thorough understanding of data processing terminology, operations, and architecture utilized in debugging application/environmental problems.
  • Thorough understanding of systems migration processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skill in testing data creation and manipulation.
  • Ability to understand functional connections between applications.
  • Ability to utilize test requirements, specifications, diagrams, logic functions, etc.

Minimum required work experience:

  • 5 years of IT experience including experience developing test plans and/or matrices.

About the team:

  • The Validation Services team operates within IT’s Enterprise Delivery Services and includes an immediate team of approximately 11 members, contributing to a broader testing organization of about 56 professionals. The team supports a wide range of initiatives, including claims processing, onboarding new plans, and managed care projects.
  • Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch.
  • Additional expectations may include overtime, on-call support, weekend work, and occasional travel between company locations, based on business needs and workload demands in support of both internal and external stakeholders.

Required education/equivalencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
  • OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
  • OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 9 years without a degree)
