We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support large-scale healthcare claims processing initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of business and technology, helping organizations improve processes, streamline operations, and deliver high-quality solutions.
You’ll collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, project managers, and subject matter experts to gather requirements, analyze workflows, create documentation, and support testing efforts. The ideal candidate has strong healthcare claims experience, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
What You’ll Be Doing
Business Analysis & Process Improvement
- Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews and workshops
- Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
- Create detailed documentation including:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Functional Specifications
- Process Flows
- Use Cases
- Wireframes
- Acceptance Criteria
- Evaluate business challenges and recommend practical solutions
Systems Analysis & Documentation
- Document system functionality, business processes, and reporting requirements
- Analyze user needs and translate them into technical requirements
- Assist with solution design discussions and system enhancements
- Support project documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Ensure solutions align with established standards and best practices
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test data
- Execute functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Analyze testing results and assist with issue resolution
- Partner with technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams
- Facilitate requirements meetings and working sessions
- Communicate project updates, risks, and dependencies
- Support presentations and knowledge transfer activities
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience
- 5+ years of Healthcare Claims Processing or Medicaid Claims experience
- Experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements
- Strong experience creating process flows, use cases, wireframes, and functional documentation
- Experience conducting business process analysis and solution evaluations
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps
- Experience supporting testing efforts, including UAT and defect management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting healthcare technology platforms
- Understanding of enterprise systems and application architecture
- Knowledge of information management and business process improvement methodologies
- Experience working within highly regulated environments
