About the Opportunity: The Strategic Initiatives Lead, AI will own and drive complex, high-impact programs that intersect AI and business development. This role is responsible for shaping new AI-based business lines, leading initiatives from hypothesis through execution and scale, and setting strategic priorities. The position works closely with AI leadership and multiple internal teams to develop and scale innovative programs that improve cancer care delivery. The role also involves engaging external stakeholders to build strategic partnerships and represent the organization credibly.
Responsibilities:
- Own strategic programs end-to-end from hypothesis refinement through execution and scaling
- Translate ambiguous business problems into structured hypotheses, experiments, and workplans
- Prioritize initiatives rigorously, setting clear success criteria and sunsetting underperforming programs
- Interface with customers, partners, and stakeholders to share vision, gather feedback, and maintain strategic relationships
- Establish and simplify product requirements and business cases for new initiatives
- Develop internal strategy materials and external pitch decks, positioning, and go-to-market assets
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Clinical, Product, Partnerships, Legal, and Operations teams
- Represent the organization to senior external stakeholders including members, payers, providers, and partners
- Build durable playbooks to scale and strengthen programs
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or business development roles within healthcare or related fields
- Proven ability to build and lead large-scale initiatives from concept through launch and scale
- Experience in tech-forward or AI-enabled environments with strong engagement with technical teams
- Familiarity with evaluating, partnering with, or operationalizing emerging technologies such as AI vendors and data infrastructure
- Structured problem-solving skills in complex, high-stakes settings
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-changing environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication, adaptable for executive, clinical, and external audiences
- Experience leading large, cross-functional programs
Preferred Skills:
- Healthcare experience in payer, provider, or value-based care
- Data-oriented mindset with ability to work with healthcare data
- Background in consulting, investing, or corporate strategy
Pay Range and Compensation Package: The base salary for this role is $136,000 to $200,000, with potential variation depending on level. This position is bonus-eligible. The pay range and compensation package include equity, benefits, and other opportunities. Individual pay decisions consider qualifications, experience, skillset, and internal equity.
