Staff Accountant
Streamside is a leading real estate investment firm specializing in the acquisition, improvement, and operation of RV parks and campgrounds across the United States. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support our Finance & Accounting team by managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and helping to maintain the financial integrity of our operations.
This is a remote position with occasional in-person meetings in Nashville, TN. You will work closely with the Controller, Senior Director of Finance, and other team members to ensure accurate accounting practices and timely reporting.
Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, A/P, A/R, fixed assets, and accruals.

Prepare journal entries and assist in completing month-end close within established timelines.

Support the preparation of monthly financial statements across the portfolio.

Perform variance analysis and provide supporting schedules as needed.

Manage vendor invoices, coding, and approvals; ensure timely payments (ACH, wires, bill pay platforms).

Review and reconcile A/P and A/R aging reports.

Track and reconcile capital expenditures, non-recurring operating expenses, and project spend.

Maintain accurate records for multiple properties and legal entities.

Support the Controller and Senior Director of Finance with entity-level reporting.

Assist with audits, tax preparation support, and compliance reporting.

Prepare required documentation for lenders, insurance partners, and regulatory agencies as needed.

Help ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies.

Contribute to process improvements across AP/AR, month-end close, and reporting workflows.

Support ongoing optimization of the accounting system and related tools.
Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

1-3 years of accounting experience, ideally in real estate, property management, hospitality, or a multi-entity environment.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement structure.

Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting systems; ERP exposure is a plus (Netsuite, Yardi, Sage Intacct, etc.).

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently while communicating effectively in a remote environment.
