The Senior Technical Lead is a strategic, hands-on engineering leader responsible for guiding complex enterprise solutions from concept to delivery across multiple workstreams. This role partners closely with Business Systems Analysts (BSAs), product owners, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs. The Senior Technical Lead provide leadership and oversees onshore and offshore development teams, ensuring high quality delivery across multiple concurrent projects and workstreams, including data migration, business rules, workflow automation, system integrations, and platform modernization.

We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Lead with 8+ years of experience in Java EE, Spring Framework, and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have balanced experience (50% front-end and 50% back-end) and preferably exposure to healthcare, pension, or related domains.

This role is responsible for designing and developing technical solutions for IT projects, mentoring developers, overseeing technical teams, and ensuring all deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Provide end-to-end technical leadership across the SDLC for multiple concurrent initiatives, with accountability for execution quality, implementation readiness, and delivery coordination. Translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable, secure technical solutions.
  • Lead detailed solution design and implementation planning for complex systems, integrations, workflows, and data flows in alignment with enterprise architecture standards. Define and enforce coding standards, architectural patterns, and engineering best practices.
  • Conduct technical assessments of legacy systems and propose modernization strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools aligned with business and technical goals.

Project & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate multiple project streams simultaneously, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery.
  • Partner closely with BSAs, architects, and business leaders to shape solution approach, validate feasibility, and align delivery sequencing across complex initiatives.Ensure high-quality, on-time delivery by coordinating with cross-functional teams
  • Manage and Identify dependencies, risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure smooth execution across distributed teams.
  • Guide Technial leads and teams in translating business requirements into technical tasks and guide teams through implementation.
  • Lead and align onshore, offshore, and vendor-supported teams across multiple workstreams, while coaching leads and senior team members to drive consistent delivery.Drive estimation, sprint planning, and execution in Agile environments.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex technical delivery risks, integration issues, and implementation blockers.
  • Partner with leadership and other teams on prioritization, resource planning, sequencing, and technical delivery tradeoffs for major initiatives.

Hands-On Engineering

  • Provide hands-on leadership for the most complex components, integrations, and perform critical POC’s and frameworks.
  • Provide senior technical oversight on complex solution issues. Review code, troubleshoot issues, and guide teams through technical challenges.
  • Ensure high standards of quality through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years designing and developing multi tier enterprise applications using Java EE, Spring, and modern frameworks.

  • 8+ years building web and enterprise applications across the full Java technology stack.

  • 6+ years developing SOA based and RESTful services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/Redis.

  • With strong experience in:

  • Micro Front-end frameworks with React, Angular, or Vue.js

  • Event-driven architecture (Kafka or similar platforms)

  • API Gateways and ESB integrations

  • Experience with workflow engines, business rules engines (e.g., Drools), and BPM/ECM platforms.

  • Experience with MariaDB/MySQL, Oracle, Kafka, ESB/API Gateways, and event streaming platforms.

  • Strong understanding of data migration strategies, ETL pipelines, and data modeling.

  • Proficiency with testing frameworks: JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Jasmine, Karma.

  • Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Database programming using SQL with MySQL or Oracle

  • Ability to convert user stories into technical tasks

  • Experience with deployment strategies for distributed and multi-tier applications

  • Ability to create UML diagrams and flowcharts using Visio or similar tools

  • Pension domain experience is a strong plus

  • Experience with BPM and ECM
