Location: Mayaguez, Puerto Rico

Department: Logistics – Warehousing

Overview:

As a Warehouse Operator at WDC PUERTO RICO, Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and organized management of our warehousing operations. This position is key to supporting the logistics and supply chain functions that enable our company to deliver quality products on time. You will be part of a dynamic team committed to operational excellence, safety, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unload, and verify inbound shipments according to company standards and documentation.
  • Perform accurate picking, packing, and preparation of outbound orders in a timely manner.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and updates, utilizing warehouse management systems.
  • Ensure warehouse areas are clean, organized, and adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines at all times.
  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to optimize workflow and address any issues promptly.
  • Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, verifying shipment contents and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or inventory discrepancies to management immediately.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing warehouse efficiency and safety.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant warehouse or logistics certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate warehouse machinery safely after appropriate training and certification.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Good physical condition and ability to lift moderate weights, frequently required to stand, bend, and move actively throughout the shift.
  • Basic computer literacy to use inventory and warehouse management systems.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate within a diverse team environment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all company policies.
