What we’re offering
An unpaid software engineering internship for motivated students or early-career engineers who want hands-on experience building travel-facing web features and a portfolio of shipped work. This is a practical, mentorship-driven position ideal for those seeking real product-building experience.
Location: Remote
Duration: 3–6 months (flexible)
Hours: ~10–20 hours/week (flexible around school)

- Mentorship and guidance from the Stovo team.
- Opportunities to ship features visible to users.
- A stronger portfolio (code contributions, live demos, shipped features).
- A professional reference upon successful completion.
What you’ll work on
- Help implement and improve user-facing features for Stovo’s web experience: search & results, stopover comparisons, visa-lookup flows, and destination pages.
- Build small end-to-end features: UI, data fetching, and integration with our demo/back-end endpoints.
- Improve site performance, accessibility, and cross-browser reliability.
- Write clean, testable code and ship small, iterative releases.
- Collaborate with the founders/product designers; participate in code reviews and product discussions.
What we’re looking for
- Education Requirement: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline).
- Comfortable writing front-end code (HTML/CSS/JavaScript). Experience with React/Remix or similar is a plus.
- Basic understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and asynchronous data fetching.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows.
- Curious, ownership mindset, strong communication, and eagerness to learn.
- Currently enrolled in a degree program or recently graduated (preferred but not required).
Why join Stovo?
- Mentorship from a small, product-focused team.
- Real product impact — your work will be visible to users and part of the public demo.
- Portfolio pieces (feature PRs, demo links) and a reference at internship completion.
- Flexible hours and remote work.
