Software Engineer II – Onsite
Requirements
Must have:
– Masters degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) – Proficiency in C, C++, or Java – Less than 12 months of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships) – Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance – U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for security clearance – Preferred: Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, along with prior internship experience. – Familiarity with data structures and algorithms, systems software design, and operating systems/architecture. – Knowledge of assembly and C/C++ programming, as well as structured programming concepts. – Understanding of object-oriented design and Unified Modeling Language (UML). – Experience in writing low-level code for microcontrollers, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi. – Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. – ABET accreditation preferred but not mandatory; 3.0 cumulative GPA desired. – Proven ability to collaborate effectively with peers and leaders in a team setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the requirements gathering, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, including the creation of new products or enhancement of existing ones. – Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions. – Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems. – Collaborate with project managers and other engineering professionals. – Tackle problems with well-defined scope, schedule, and expectations. – Adhere to established development standards and processes for maintaining software configuration management.
