About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and owning a wide array of customer-facing software systems that power our two-sided marketplace. Collaborating closely with engineering leaders, product managers, and the development team, you will design scalable, high-quality solutions that meet the rapidly growing needs of our business. Your technical expertise will guide multiple initiatives across web applications, REST API services, mobile applications, data engineering, and DevOps. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the technical direction of our platform, leverage AI-assisted development workflows, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of professional experience as a full-stack software engineer
- Proficiency in building Java backend services
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
- Familiarity with AI-based deployment, testing, and observability tools
- Proven track record of leading projects from concept to deployment in fast-paced environments
- Hands-on coding experience with ownership of complex, end-to-end deliverables
- Experience evaluating or integrating AI-driven tooling into development workflows
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving technologies
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software products, incorporating modern development practices and AI-assisted tools where appropriate
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to develop intuitive, responsive user interfaces and explore opportunities to enhance user experiences through automation
- Establish and promote best practices in software engineering, including AI-driven development workflows to improve productivity and quality
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering their technical growth and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Provide technical guidance on complex decision-making, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions
- Drive the technical vision of the platform, identifying areas where AI capabilities can accelerate innovation and operational efficiency
- Evaluate emerging technologies and incorporate them into the development lifecycle
- Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration of various system components and services
