Requirements

Must have:

– We require at least 6 years of hands-on software development experience using SAFe or a comparable Agile framework, including close collaboration with Scrum Masters and/or Product Owners to translate high-level needs into actionable user stories. – We require at least 6 years of experience programming in Python or another software language. – We require at least 6 years of experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines, including use of GitLab or a similar Git-based repository platform. – We require at least 6 years of experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform. – We require at least 6 years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift. – We require strong AWS expertise, including experience with services such as EC2, DynamoDB, ECS, SQS/SNS, IAM, Lambda, and CDK. – We require the ability to communicate complex technical ideas, obstacles, and solutions clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. – We require prior experience leading a development team, workstream, or significant technical effort. – We require an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Poly. – We require a Masters degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, a Bachelors degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, an Associates degree plus 12 years of relevant experience, or at least 15 years of relevant experience in a related field.

Responsibilities:

  • We serve as a technical delivery lead, planning and overseeing application development efforts. – We provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers, including conducting code reviews. – We ensure solution designs align with approved specifications and meet established software quality standards. – We create software solutions that address both technical and business requirements by applying our knowledge of architecture, software engineering, DevSecOps, and mission needs. – We help plan and prioritize upcoming program increment work, partnering with product management on technical solutioning, requirements breakdown, and estimation. – We contribute across all stages of the software development lifecycle. – We write clean, well-structured, efficient, testable, and maintainable code. – We recommend process improvements that strengthen application delivery and organizational effectiveness. – We prepare and release software components. – We support formal testing activities and help resolve defects. – We provide technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure issues and questions. – We advance the GEODS program by serving as a subject matter expert and mentor to other developers.

We offer a competitive salary range of $93,855.59 to $165,030.38 per year, along with benefits that include a 401(k), dental insurance, and a flexible schedule. Preferred experience includes cloud certifications, familiarity with AI/ML and Amazon SageMaker, front-end development with React, database work with Apache Solr, the Atlassian suite, and prior NGA experience.
