Software Engineer – Arlington
Requirements
Must have:
– Bachelors degree in Accounting – A minimum of 5 years of substantial general accounting experience – At least 3 years of experience in power settlements within ISO markets (preferably ERCOT) – Strong proficiency in NetSuite (or a comparable ERP system) – Experience with settlements software (OATI is preferred) – Advanced skills in Excel and Office applications – Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities – Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment – Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Oversee full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, invoicing, accounts receivable, month-end close, and general ledger for multiple entities – Assist in configuring, optimizing, and scaling the ERP system (NetSuite) to support business growth – Prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheets and bank statements – Develop, document, and enforce accounting policies and procedures – Identify opportunities for operational enhancements to increase efficiency – Build and lead a Back Office team responsible for settlement management, invoicing, and regulatory reporting (ERCOT or relevant ISO) – Analyze and settle short-term transactions in the power market – Collaborate on initiatives and cross-functional projects driven by management
