About The Role We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our dynamic team in Hartford, CT. This role is ideal for mid-level to senior professionals who are passionate about building impactful software solutions. As a key member of our development team, you will be involved in designing, developing, and maintaining a variety of systems that support our internal operations. Your work will span across the full technology stack, including backend services, web applications, and desktop software using Maui. You will have the opportunity to contribute to architecture discussions, participate in code reviews, and influence the technical direction of projects. Our environment encourages hands-on learning and continuous improvement, with guidance from our programming lead. This position offers flexibility in work arrangements including on-site, hybrid, or remote options, allowing you to balance productivity and collaboration effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience with C# and .NET 5+ frameworks
- Strong understanding of Dependency Injection and Asynchronous Programming
- Experience with Unit Testing frameworks such as NUnit
- Familiarity with Entity Framework Core and SQL Server
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
- Basic UI development skills using HTML, TypeScript, and Vue.js
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new technologies and methodologies
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, web applications, and desktop software that support internal operations
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a focus on minimizing technical debt
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions
- Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions through proper channels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and timely delivery
