Sassa Foods is building the first Afro-modern snack brand rooted in West African culture, starting with Puff Puff — Africa’s original donut. We’re looking for a Social Media Content Strategist & Creator who can bring our brand to life across Instagram and TikTok.

This role is for someone who is both strategic and hands-on : you know how to grow social media accounts, and you also know how to make content yourself. From filming BTS at our production runs to creating surrealism/heroism-style reels (think Jacquemus Γ— Topicals vibe), you’ll help build the hype and storytelling that makes Sassa Foods a premium, cult-loved brand.
πŸ“Œ Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media strategies for TikTok and Instagram aligned with our Afro-Modern brand identity.
  • Create high-quality video content: BTS, lifestyle clips, food-porn reels, surreal/hero creative concepts.
  • Manage the posting calendar, track performance, and optimize based on engagement and conversions.
  • Collaborate with the founder, brand strategist, and designer (Malcolm) to ensure consistency across visuals, voice, and vibe.
  • Be on-site at production runs, events, and activations to capture compelling content.
  • Support pre-order campaigns, flavor drops, and community engagement (e.g., reposting brand ambassadors’ content).

  • Deep familiarity with Instagram Reels and TikTok trends — ideally proven with accounts you’ve grown.
  • Ability to shoot and edit engaging short-form video content (phone-based is fine if it’s high quality).
  • Strong grasp of Afro-modern aesthetics and the ability to elevate African culture without clichΓ©s.
  • Creativity: able to concept surrealism, heroism, and lifestyle-driven content ideas.
  • Philadelphia-based (or Greater Philadelphia Area) and available for in-person filming events.

  • Familiarity with diaspora culture, Afro-beats, Amapiano, Gen Z lifestyle content.
  • Strong eye for premium branding, photography, and video storytelling.
