Shop Technician I – Electrical

You may perform electrical wiring or assembly and mechanical assembly, following standard procedures and under supervision.You will report to the Assistant Area Manager and be located at our New Stanton, PA facility. This is an anchor position that is required on site 5 days per week.Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to comprehend basic mechanical and/or electrical drawings, codes, schematics, manuals, blueprints and procedures, and record data in the required form.
• Ability/knowledge of electrical equipment and/or painting methods, hand and power tool usage.
• Apply knowledge of basic electro-mechanical theory and components to build subassemblies.
• Disassemble, clean, reassemble, and wire low voltage and medium voltage breakers per engineering documents for refurbishments and new builds.
• Install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, or connectors.
• Ability to Operate electrical/electronic test equipment.
• Plan, layout, assemble or fabricate mechanical, electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience with demonstrated electrical, mechanical, machining, and/or inspection skills
• Specific knowledge of electrical or mechanical drawings, assembly, and wiring.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
