Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Phoenix, AZ, for a Sheet Metal Engineer. The primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing sheet metal components for aerospace applications. Additional tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams on production processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, evaluating material specifications, and troubleshooting technical challenges. The engineer will also assist in implementing manufacturing improvements to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality in all deliverables.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in sheet metal component design, development, and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of material properties and selection, as well as experience with precision machining
- Familiarity with CAD software and ability to create technical drawings and models
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and quality assurance skills
- Understanding of aerospace industry standards and compliance requirements
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience in the aerospace industry is a significant advantage
