About the Role
The Service Desk Analyst role involves providing front-line technical support to end users remotely. This position is responsible for handling various support requests by troubleshooting issues, guiding users to solutions, and documenting interactions accurately. The role plays a key part in maintaining user satisfaction and operational continuity by managing technical inquiries and escalating complex problems as required.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer calls and emails with accurate and satisfactory solutions
- De-escalate issues involving dissatisfied customers with patience and support
- Assist callers in troubleshooting, navigating websites, or using products and services
- Collaborate with other support professionals to enhance customer service quality
- Document all service calls within the designated tracking system
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of PC hardware configurations and troubleshooting
- Active listening skills
- Experience managing escalations in an enterprise or structured support environment
- Knowledge of desktop operating systems
- Patient and empathetic attitude
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Adaptability and flexibility in fast-paced settings
- Familiarity with multi-line or complex phone systems
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting 30-40 non-technical end-user calls in a large corporate environment
- Experience with Active Directory
- Minimum of 1 year supporting desktops, laptops, or printers in a production support center
Compensation
