Cornhusker International Trucks, Inc. is seeking an individual with a basic understanding of under-the-hood vehicle functions in an automotive or heavy-duty truck; while being driven to help our customers get back on the road quickly, efficiently and safely as possible!If this is you, Cornhusker International Trucks, Inc. has your next career opportunity parked, waiting for you to join our team as our Full time Service Advisor!Day Shift: Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM — 5:00 PMSalary: $50,000 – $75,000 Incentive (Annual Shop Bonus)What You’ll Do: Service Advisor ResponsibilitiesAssist customers with their repair service needs by reporting vehicle issues and recommending needed repairsAbility to create estimatesAssign repair orders (RO) to the trained technician who can complete the necessary repairsAnswer customer questions regarding their vehicle and handle any issues that arise in a timely mannerAbility to follow service department process and procedures including safetyLead and support technicians and service managerEnsure warranty procedures are followed correctlyInspect and ensure quality of work prior to vehicle deliveryCommunicate critical information across the service teamMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop environmentRequired Skills & Technical ExpertiseBasic understanding of diagnostic and repair skills on medium and heavy duty trucks, including:

  • Diesel Engine
  • Brakes
  • Electrical systems
  • HVAC and A/C
  • Steering and suspension
  • Exhaust and differential systems

Ability and willingness to learn new vehicle systems and technologiesAbility to complete assigned training within required time framesStays current on industry changes and best practicesQualifications: Experience as a shop foreman and/or diesel technician (heavy truck or Ag equipment) preferred, but not requiredDemonstrates good communication and customer service skillsDemonstrates professionalism in the workplaceDemonstrates time management skills to keep up in a fast-paced environmentCDK experience preferred, but not requiredBasic computer skillsExperience with International, Cummins, or Allison systems preferred, but not requiredReliable attendance and strong work ethicMust pass a drug test, physical & background checkMust have a clean driving recordPay & Benefits:
