Title: Senior Solutions Engineer — Federal Sector

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Solutions Engineer to support strategic federal clients in navigating complex technology challenges. In this pivotal role, you’ll work alongside our field sales organization to architect tailored solutions that address the mission-critical needs of U.S. government agencies.

From conducting technical deep-dives and shaping solution strategies to demonstrating advanced products and ensuring integration success, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor throughout the pre-sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior-level federal stakeholders to understand mission priorities and translate them into technical solutions
  • Deliver tailored presentations, workshops, and product demonstrations to agency executives and engineering teams
  • Provide in-depth technical support across infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and data management platforms
  • Design and validate solutions that integrate across existing environments, ensuring compliance, scalability, and interoperability
  • Serve as a technical lead on large-scale proposal efforts, including solution design, documentation, and pricing input
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the federal space to advise clients with confidence
  • Lead architecture and integration planning across complex IT ecosystems
  • Serve as a go-to resource for field teams, supporting the development of white papers, RFP responses, and solution overviews

Qualifications

Required:

  • 8–12 years of experience in a technical pre-sales or solutions architecture role, preferably in the federal sector
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive-level stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of enterprise IT environments, cloud technologies, and systems integration
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering presentations, workshops, and demonstrations to strategic clients
  • Experience developing detailed technical proposals and supporting long sales cycles
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience supporting federal agencies or contractors
  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI clearance is highly desirable

Compensation

The estimated total compensation for this role—including base and variable pay—ranges from $216,750 to $280,500, depending on experience, performance, and location.
