Senior StarRocks Database Administrator (DBA)

We are seeking an experienced StarRocks Database Engineer to join our team onsite in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in StarRocks database performance optimization, high availability architecture, and system reliability. This role requires a local resource who can work from the office and start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize and tune StarRocks database performance to support high-volume analytical workloads.
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks across database and infrastructure layers.
• Design and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
• Enhance system observability, monitoring, and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure stable and scalable deployments.
• Support production environments and ensure database uptime and resilience.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with StarRocks database administration and performance tuning.
• Expertise in OLAP database optimization and large-scale analytical workloads.
• Proven experience designing high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience with performance diagnosis and troubleshooting in distributed database environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Kubernetes clusters and containerized deployments.
• Hands-on experience with columnar databases.
• Familiarity with observability tools and monitoring frameworks.
