🚀 Senior Software Engineer (Backend) — Aerospace

We’re hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help build the foundational software architecture behind next-generation aerospace systems.

This role sits at the intersection of flight software, embedded systems, and mission operations, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

🧠 What You’ll Do

• Design and develop backend and system architecture for mission-critical software
• Act as a bridge between controls (GNC) and software teams
• Build and support flight, ground, and operational systems
• Work on embedded environments and real-time systems
• Own projects end-to-end in a fast-paced, high-impact environment

Must-have:

• Strong proficiency in C / C++ and Linux
• Experience with embedded systems or low-level programming
• Background in RTOS, bare-metal systems, or HIL testing
• 6–15+ years of backend/software engineering experience
• Experience building systems in high-reliability environments

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in aerospace or flight software
• Experience integrating GNC algorithms
• Familiarity with regulated or safety-critical systems
• Previous experience as a tech lead, architect, or senior IC

📍 Location

• On-site: Los Angeles (Playa Vista, CA)
• 5 days/week in office

💰 Compensation

• $160K — $220K USD base
• Competitive equity
