About the Opportunity:

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain will be part of the Supply Chain and Logistics Team, reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and Logistics. This role is responsible for ensuring supply continuity for both research and GMP functions. The individual will manage a team of materials managers overseeing multiple inventories serving various internal and external partners. The position involves establishing inventory policies and procedures, acting as the primary escalation for supply issues, and serving as the main contact for corrective actions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies balancing quality, cost, and supply continuity

• Manage a team of materials managers ensuring availability of critical material inventories

• Establish and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, manage change notifications, and ensure timely delivery of quality materials

• Analyze market trends to achieve cost reductions while maintaining quality standards

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and GMP practices where applicable

• Identify supply chain strategy improvements and implement them with management guidance

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, an analytical field, or equivalent experience; Master’s in supply chain or MBA is a plus

• Minimum 5 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or related field, preferably in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries

• Experience managing a team

• Proven ability to coordinate with multiple parties and manage competing priorities

• Strong organizational and leadership skills with effective delegation

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, data analytics platforms, and forecasting software

• Experience with research organizations and contract manufacturers in a GRP/GMP environment

• Experience with cellular therapy products or eye banking is a plus

• Certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, CPSM, or CPL are a plus

Compensation:

• Salary range from $132,000 to $149,000
