Requirements


Must have:

– Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications – Over 5 years of experience in developing applications using modern frameworks – Strong proficiency in systems thinking with a focus on end-to-end software solutions – Expertise in one or more programming languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#, or Go) – Experience in deploying and managing applications in cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS) – Practical knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep) – Familiarity with CI/CD processes, version control (Git), Docker, and Linux – Experience in database design and optimization (e.g., PostgreSQL) – Understanding of security best practices (IAM, secrets management, network controls)

Responsibilities:


  • Design and develop comprehensive full stack applications that enhance test and evaluation workflows and overall engineering effectiveness – Convert complex engineering challenges into clear digital solutions while ensuring usability and scalability – Create front-end and back-end services utilizing contemporary frameworks like React, Node.js, Python, or .NET – Develop and implement APIs and service interfaces for integration across various test systems and analytics platforms – Architect holistic systems that incorporate applications, data services, and cloud infrastructure – Assess and choose cloud services using AWS and Azure based on cost-effectiveness and maintainability – Execute infrastructure as code for secure and repeatable deployments – Architect solutions that accommodate multi-cloud and hybrid scenarios as needed – Create data models and storage solutions for both transactional and analytical demands – Develop and integrate data services that streamline test data accessibility for engineers – Collaborate with data scientists to support analytics and visualization without complicating user experience – Build CI/CD pipelines to support prompt development cycles and application deployments – Apply Site Reliability Engineering principles for enhanced system reliability and performance – Construct and maintain observability tools, including logs and metrics, to facilitate performance optimization – Work with security teams to ensure compliance with Boeings security protocols – Contribute to operational documentation and continuous improvement initiatives – Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to define digital project roadmaps and technical strategies – Guide architectural and design choices through a system-oriented approach and engineering insights – Engage with peers to foster a thriving Digital Engineering community within BT&E
