Senior Backend Engineer – AI – Washington

Requirements

Must have:

– Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school – Licensed to practice law in at least one state – Minimum of 2 years of experience in oil & gas title examination – Consideration for experience outside Texas, specifically in Bakken, Oklahoma, and New Mexico – Proven ability to negotiate and draft oil & gas agreements

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel and assistance on a wide array of oil and gas issues, including exploration, production, transportation, and sales – Draft title opinions that identify defects, liens, or other concerns affecting property ownership or usage – Review and analyze documents such as leases, contracts, and deeds – Offer guidance on compliance with pertinent laws, regulations, and industry standards – Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation and arbitration – Work collaboratively with other departments to pinpoint legal risks and devise risk management strategies – Stay informed about changes in oil and gas law and industry trends – Conduct training sessions for other departments on relevant legal matters
