Senior Backend Engineer – AI – Boston

Requirements

Must have:

– Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school – Licensed to practice law in at least one state – Minimum of 2 years of experience in oil & gas title examination – Consideration for experience outside of Texas, particularly in Bakken, Oklahoma, and New Mexico – Proficient in negotiating and drafting oil & gas agreements

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel and assistance on various oil and gas matters such as exploration, production, transportation, and sales – Draft title opinions addressing defects, liens, or other concerns affecting ownership or property use – Review and analyze legal documents including leases, contracts, and deeds – Advise on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards – Represent the company in legal matters, including litigation and arbitration – Collaborate with other departments to assess legal risks and formulate risk management strategies – Keep abreast of changes in oil and gas law and industry developments – Deliver training to other teams on relevant legal issues
