Secret Subcontracts Manager

A company in Colorado Springs, CO is looking for a Subcontracts Manager to join their team! This Subcontracts Manager will be responsible for

Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and mentorship to the subcontracts administrators and other team members on subcontracting best practices and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to ensure contract compliance

Develop and deliver training to project personnel on subcontracting requirements, tools, processes, and best practices

Identify opportunities to improve processes and support the adoption and testing of alternative subcontracting methods (e.g., master services agreements, blanket ordering agreements, etc.) and automation tools

Ensure proper cradle-to-grave subcontract administration is performed in accordance with the approved Subcontracts Manual

Analyze and evaluate subcontractor proposals, negotiate deviations from performance work statements, schedule, and terms and conditions, acting as the primary POC interfacing with subcontractors and operations project teams

Conduct cost and/or price analysis and provide justification of award Ensure subcontract modifications, including the coordination of required additions, deletions, modifications, and communication to/from subcontractors is formally documents in the subcontract file

Resolve disputes as needed to include formal meetings to discuss performance issues, letters of concern, terminations, etc.

Optimize customer visibility

Collaborate with Amentum subcontract administrators, operations teams, and stakeholders to ensure effective subcontract administration and to communicate status, performance metrics, and risks.
This position is onsite full-time at Schriever SFB or Redstone Arsenal, and this role will work standard working hours Monday-Friday. The salary range for this role is $145,000-160,000/yr depending on years and level of experience, education, and certifications. This role requires an Active Secret Clearance or higher.

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint

Active Secret Clearance or higher – Have experience building, managing, and motivating a team to deliver high-quality products that are reliable for near-real time decision making
