About the Role:

The Social Worker will play a key role in supporting student well-being, social-emotional development, and overall academic success. Youll collaborate closely with school staff, students, and families to ensure a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social work services to students, including counseling, crisis intervention, and support as required by IEPs or student needs

  • Maintain accurate documentation and case records

  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to address student social, emotional, and behavioral needs

  • Support student wellness, development, and academic progress

  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan Social Work license or credential

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work or related field

  • Experience working in a school setting or with children/adolescents preferred

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement support for diverse student populations
