What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Receive phone calls and fax requests to schedule patients for outpatient tests
- Complete pre-registration of scheduled patients and ensure valid provider orders are obtained
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 codes as necessary
- Assist with multitasking and managing various scheduling requests
- Ensure a smooth patient scheduling process to enhance overall access to care
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum of 1 year of previous Patient Scheduling or Patient Access experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Office experience in a healthcare environment, preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and CPT/ICD-9 codes, preferred
- Proficiency in Google applications
