Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Contract Type: Long-term contract (potential to extend)
Pay Rate: $36.00–$42.85 per hour
Travel: Occasional (approximately one week per month, depending on project needs)
Role Overview
The Material Coordinator / Scheduler I is primarily a project scheduling-focused role supporting capital projects across energy generation facilities. This is a newly created position designed to enhance scheduling coordination, contractor alignment, and material planning across multiple active work streams.
The Scheduler will work closely with project managers, engineers, operations teams, and contractors to develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project schedules that support safe, efficient, and on-time project execution. The role is largely office-based, with occasional site visits as required.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules for capital projects across energy generation facilities
• Coordinate contractor activities, labor schedules, and material deliveries across multiple work streams
• Create and maintain schedules using Microsoft Project, including Gantt charts, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and critical path analysis
• Support project teams by translating scope of work into actionable, well-structured schedules
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to align schedules with execution plans
• Track schedule progress, identify risks or conflicts, and support mitigation planning
• Contribute to the development of scheduling standards, templates, and documentation as needed
• Participate in periodic site visits to support schedule alignment and coordination
Requirements:
• 2–3 years of scheduling experience preferred (entry-level candidates with strong organizational and planning skills will be considered)
• Background in construction management, project management, or capital project support
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project (required)
• Working knowledge of scheduling concepts including Gantt charts, WBS, and Critical Path Method (CPM)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify and explain complex schedules
Preferred Requirements:
• Experience with Primavera P6
• Exposure to capital project scheduling in industrial or energy environments
• Familiarity with SAP or work order scheduling systems
• Experience supporting outage, overhaul, or maintenance-related projects
• Understanding of cost integration with scheduling and basic cost tracking
• Experience developing scheduling standards, playbooks, or process documentation.
• Comfortable managing 80–100 concurrent work streams involving multiple contractors and vendors
• Able to develop schedules from scope of work with minimal direction
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
• Strong collaborator across cross-functional project teams
• Adaptable to shifting priorities in a dynamic project environment
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management preferred
• Engineering, Business Management, or related degrees acceptable
• Equivalent professional experience will be considered
Additional Information

• Open to more senior-level candidates (Scheduler II or III) if highly qualified
