** Safety Specialist*
* Schedule:** Monday — Friday

** Position Overview**

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to lead workplace safety initiatives and ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. In this role, you will champion a strong safety culture, minimize workplace risks, and support continuous improvement in environmental health and safety practices.

** Key Responsibilities**

• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs
• Lead weekly Safety Toolbox meetings and employee safety trainings
• Investigate workplace incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements
• Prepare and maintain OSHA 300 logs, injury reports, and compliance documentation
• Monitor and enforce proper use of PPE
• Support emergency response planning and provide first aid when necessary
• Prepare safety reports and present findings to leadership
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions

** Qualifications**

• Proven experience in an EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) role or similar position
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, workers’ compensation laws, and EPA regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to lead trainings and safety presentations confidently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred; additional safety certifications are a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
