Responsibilities

  • Work with cutting-edge data processing frameworks, technologies, and platforms to empower client-facing teams with the tools that enhance and reinforce Teladoc Health’s value proposition.
  • Drive growth and client retention while providing a better way for Teladoc Health members to manage chronic health conditions.
  • Discover and share insights about members and clients to drive decision making.
  • Work with SQL, Python, R, Jenkins, AWS Tech stack (Redshift, S3), Metabase and other technologies to design and build scalable and impactful reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, PMs, and clinical researchers, Transform the healthcare industry with innovative, highly effective products.
  • Facilitate complex, rapidly changing, high-volume data science needs with efficient data pipelines.
  • Build automation tools, data pipelines that help us deliver quality reports on time for a multitude of requests.
  • Influence upstream system/design, definitions and develop scalable solutions to meet expectations from internal/external stakeholders.
  • Run ad-hoc data-extracts for requests from diverse partners and automate those needs over time.
  • Develop visualizations to tell stories effectively.
  • Build insightful dashboards, self-service tools and reports to slice/dice data for helping with partners in making strategic decisions for all functional areas such as member experience, product build/performance, clinical research, business operations, growth/retention.
  • Engage with partners, internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills to handle tight deadlines and maintain open communications with partners.
  • Engage with Product, Business, Engineering, and Marketing teams to understand the needs, capture requirements and be the liaison between analytics and business.
  • Improve data quality and analytic rigor.
  • Monitor and triage production runs for ensuring data security and veracity.
  • Proactively identify performance / data quality problems and remedy them.
  • Continuously refine data quality with testing, tooling and performance evaluation.

Skills

  • Plus 2 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or other occupation involving data analysis within the healthcare industry.
  • Employment experience with: (1) R or Python with data science libraries; (2) SQL and data science libraries; (3) Templating, developing, deploying, and maintaining production grade data processing and pipelines through data cleaning and data management; (4) Generating insights through in-depth quantitative and statistical analysis for client and health data; and (5) Developing dashboards and reports to share compelling storytelling through visualizations and metrics.

Education Requirements

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a related field.
