[Remote] Business System Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. NASA Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and operational systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. The BSA will gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements, while applying proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Remains cognizant of and adheres to Credit Union policies and procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Designs, develops, and implements software and hardware solutions, systems, or products with proven experience.
- Supports the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Creates system models, specifications, diagrams, and charts using Microsoft Visio.
- Evaluates business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
- Applies technical knowledge of programming languages at NASA Federal, including, but not limited to, PowerOn, VB.NET , VBScript, T-SQL.
- Applies working knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
- Imports data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
- Coordinates the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently in some phases of system analysis and considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
- Acts as a project leader as assigned.
- Enhances process automation using an Enterprise Scheduler and/or RPA tools.
- Analyzes the operation of database hardware, software, and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies and mainframe applications.
- Oversees the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
- Provides systems analysis and considers the business implications of the application of technology to current and future business environments.
- May guide and advise less experienced Business Systems Analysts under general direction.
Skills
- Minimum of one year of combined Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting, or Management Information systems experience required (unless skills are deemed appropriate by the CIO/VP of Technology Services).
- Possesses excellent research, troubleshooting, and fact-finding skills.
- Possesses experience with core software applications.
- Understands basic programming concepts (sequence of commands, conditional structures, looping structures, etc.).
- Minimum of three years of combined Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting, or Management Information systems experience required (unless skills are deemed appropriate by the CIO/VP of Technology Services).
- Possesses working knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Minimum of five years of combined Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting, or Management Information systems experience required (unless skills are deemed appropriate by the CIO/VP of Technology Services).
- Has all the education and experience of the level I and II requirements.
- Has advanced experience with system analysis and application of technology to business environments.
- Has advanced experience in analyzing the operations of database hardware and software.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.

- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
