Job Description: Regional Vice President (RVP) of Operations

Executive Summary

The RVP of Operations is responsible for the operational health, strategic growth, and financial performance of all facilities or business units within their assigned region. You serve as the senior-most operational leader for the territory, tasked with optimizing supply chains, streamlining service delivery, and managing massive regional budgets. You report directly to the SVP of Operations or the COO, ensuring that regional performance aligns with the firm’s global objectives.

Core Executive Responsibilities

Multi-Unit P&L Management: Total accountability for the region’s financial performance. You drive revenue growth and aggressive cost-management strategies to ensure the region meets or exceeds EBITDA targets.

Operational Standardization: Developing and enforcing “Best-in-Class” processes. You ensure that whether a client interacts with the firm in New York or Chicago, the quality and efficiency remain identical.

Strategic Scaling: Leading the regional expansion strategy. This includes overseeing the launch of new sites, integrating acquisitions, and managing large-scale capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects.

Regulatory & Risk Leadership: Serving as the regional authority on compliance. You manage relationships with local regulators and ensure that every unit in the region adheres to safety, legal, and environmental standards.

Talent Architecture: Building the regional leadership bench. You are responsible for the hiring, development, and performance of General Managers and Area Directors, ensuring a strong succession pipeline.

Cross-Functional Advocacy: Acting as the “Voice of the Region” at headquarters. You collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Finance to ensure regional needs are reflected in global corporate strategies.
