About The Role The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing the full lifecycle of talent recruitment for Turner Construction’s regional business units. This position is flexible regarding location within the United States, with a preference for candidates near a Turner office. The ideal candidate will possess experience in recruiting within Pharma/Biotech, Data Center, Semiconductor, Industrial, or Advanced Manufacturing construction sectors. The primary focus will be to attract, identify, and onboard highly qualified professionals to support Turner’s growth and operational excellence. The role involves collaborating closely with hiring managers and HR teams to understand talent needs, developing sourcing strategies, and promoting Turner’s employer brand. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring a broad and diverse talent pool. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition or recruiting
- Experience in construction-related industries or with a mid-size organization (10,000+ employees) is preferred
- Professional in Human Resources (HRCI PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is a plus
- Strong understanding of business and construction operations
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other social media sourcing tools
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands and work independently
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
- Problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and internal mobility platforms
Responsibilities
- Manage the full talent acquisition lifecycle for regional business units, including posting requisitions, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and extending offers
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and develop sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates through proactive sourcing techniques and engagement on social media platforms
- Administer diversity and inclusion programs to attract a broad spectrum of talent
- Partner with HR and operations teams to facilitate internal mobility, transfers, and career development opportunities
- Utilize applicant tracking systems and internal data tools (such as ETS) to identify and track internal and external candidates
- Contribute innovative ideas and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance talent acquisition processes
- Coordinate with marketing and branding teams to promote Turner as an employer of choice
- Participate in company-wide HR initiatives and support organizational talent strategies
- Maintain high levels of customer service and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization
