Job Title: : Radio Frequency Drive Test Field Engineer
Location: San Diego, CA 92121
Duration: 9 Month
Pay Rate Range:$35 – $38Introduction We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our team in a dynamic role that involves hands-on field testing and troubleshooting of advanced wireless technologies. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cutting-edge mobile communications and enjoys working in a field environment.Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work directly for the company on a W2 basis
  • Experience in handset testing with commercial OEM or relevant devices in field/lab environments across 5G/4G/3G operators
  • Proficiency in drive testing on-site and ability to debug, troubleshoot, and analyze basic device/OTA issues
  • Familiarity with Android OS and experience in testing and debugging
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid US driver’s license
  • Experience using tools like QXDM, QCAT, PCAT
  • Understanding of software development and testing concepts for wireless handsets across various air interface standards — 5G (SA, NSA, mmW, NRDC), LTE
  • Ability to work in the field for 8 hours with van/drive test as part of the field engineer position
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 2 years of work experience OR Master’s Degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with stability testing
  • Experience with air interface performance analysis, characterization, and optimization
  • Experience with test planning/test case development
  • Understanding of Physical/MAC layers and call processing concepts
  • Exposure to programming in C, Perl, Shell Scripting is a plus

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct field testing of wireless devices to ensure performance and compliance with standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to device-network interactions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and interpret test results
