Quality Supervisor — Manufacturing

Location: NW Houston, TX | Industry: Plastics Manufacturing (Confidential)

Company: Perfect-Fit HR Services | Type: Full-time, On-site

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Compensation: $90,000–$95,000 base (DOE) benefits

About the Role

Join a growing operation as a Quality Supervisor . You’ll supervise daily QA/QC activities, ensure compliance with ISO/GMP & SOPs, and partner cross-functionally to maintain product quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise quality inspectors/technicians and floor QA/QC routines

  • Execute & enforce ISO/GMP/SOPs; maintain COAs and audit-ready records

  • Oversee in-process checks, first-article approvals, line checks & final release

  • Lead NCRs, root cause analysis & CAPA closure

  • Track yields, scrap, Cp/Cpk, and trends (Excel/Power BI)

  • Train teams on inspection methods, MSA/Gage R&R

  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering & Supply Chain to prevent recurrence.

  • Support customer/third-party audits and communications

  • Promote Lean/Six Sigma to improve capability and reduce waste

  • Qualifications

  • 3–5 years QA/QC in plastics or flexible packaging (supervisory/lead required)

  • Bilingual—Spanish/English (required)

  • Strong SPC, root cause (5-Why/Fishbone), MSA/Gage R&R, control plans

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel ; Power BI a plus

  • Familiar with ISO 9001, GMP, and audit readiness

  • Six Sigma Green Belt preferred (Black Belt a plus)

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering/Quality (preferred) or equivalent experience

  • Floor-presence leadership, excellent communication, and follow-through
