Quality Inspector (2nd shift 3:00pm-11:30pm)

Quality Inspector 2nd shift 300pm 1130pm The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting materials components and finished products to ensure they meet specified standards and customer requirements This role involves performing visual dimensional and functional inspections using measuring tools and testing equipment The Quality Inspector documents findings identifies defects or deviations and works closely with production and quality teams to resolve issues This position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality reducing rework and supporting compliance with internal and external quality standards Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform First Article In Process and Final Inspections Inspect products at initial in process and final stages to ensure they meet specifications regulatory standards and customer requirements Identify any deviations and implement corrective actions as neededMonitor and Document Quality Continuously monitor production to maintain quality and complete inspection check sheets Document results and discrepancies for future referenceConduct CMM Testing Use Coordinate Measuring Machine CMM to perform precise dimensional testing Address nonconformances promptly and ensure proper documentation of all test resultsPerform Dimensional and Functional Testing Measure product dimensions and verify functionality against specifications Record data in the SPC database and take corrective actions as neededReport and Document Nonconformances Report product defects and quality issues maintaining accurate records for traceability and collaborating with relevant teams to resolve issuesEnsure Compliance with QMS and cGMP Follow established Quality Management Systems QMS and cGMP regulations to maintain product quality and ensure legal and industry standards are metAssist in Audits Support internal and external audits ensuring product documentation and processes comply with both internal and regulatory standardsPerform Sorting and Rework Assist in sorting defective products and perform rework to ensure products meet quality standards before shipmentAssist in Training Inspector Packers Train and observe Inspector Packers to ensure proper inspection techniques and accuracy in their workEnsure Safety Devices Are Intact Regularly verify that machine safety devices are functioning properly and report any malfunctions or tamperingFollow Safety Procedures Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all necessary personal protective equipment PPE is used and in good conditionOther Duties as Assigned Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and meet operational prioritiesExposure A high school diploma or equivalent is requiredExcellent time management organization and planning skillsAdvanced problem solving and analytical skillsMust be detail orientedAbility to multi taskMust possess good interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to promote a team atmosphere in the department and in other production based areasMust be able to work with minimal supervision self starter and high initiativeComputer skillsWork Environment The work environment is usually in an office within a manufacturing facility with low to moderate noise level The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job Ability to work well with others one on one remote via video and phoneAbility to work independentlyEqual Opportunity Employer Westfall Technik is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race color national origin ancestry sex gender gender identity gender expression pregnancy childbirth or related medical conditions religious creed physical disability mental disability age for individuals age 40 and over medical condition as defined by state law for example cancer or genetic characteristics or HIVAIDS marital status military and veteran status sexual orientation genetic information citizenship status or any other characteristic protected by federal state or local law Our management team is dedicated to this policy with respect to recruitment hiring placement promotion transfer training compensation benefits employee activities and general treatment during employment
