Shift Hours: M-F 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join the Quality Engineering team. This role will focus on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of laptops, main logic boards (MLB), and LCD assemblies . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and passionate about continuous improvement in a fast-paced technical environment .

Role And Responsibilities

  • Develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements for products during process design through production
  • Perform statistical analysis of processes using tools such as trend charts, control charts, Pareto diagrams, and fishbone diagrams to support continuous improvement
  • Conduct reject analysis and verification to provide feedback to Operations and Engineering for process improvements
  • Perform special testing, process capability studies, repeatability studies, and equipment correlations as required
  • Prepare inspection instructions and procedures for cross-functional teams covering mechanical and aesthetic criteria, and assist with training
  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to ensure smooth transition of new products into the manufacturing process
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement product improvements
  • Implement and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives across business areas
  • Recommend process and design improvements, including failure analysis methods, corrective actions, and material/component improvements
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating activities and communicating progress to internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor industry trends to proactively identify quality issues and improvement opportunities
  • Cross-train across business units on quality standards and methodologies
  • Mentor engineers and team members on quality tools and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality system requirements
  • Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives

Skills, Education, And Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar Quality Engineering role
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience with email communication and intermediate Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and experimental design concepts
  • Strong knowledge of inspection and analysis tools (preferably within a computer-based environment)
  • Proven problem-solving ability and analytical thinking
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

Preferred Training

  • IPC-610
  • IPC-7711/7721

Working Conditions And Essential Functions

  • Position is based at Our Client’s Houston facility
  • Requires standing, walking, and working in a production/repair environment for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
  • Regular exposure to electronic components, ESD-protected areas, and repair tools
  • Standard Monday-Friday schedule with occasional overtime based on business needs
