Job Description
Note: Onsite; Menlo Park, CA only, will be involved in lab work so onsite is critical. First 5-6 weeks will be onsite 3 days minimum and then based on performance and training, optional to go remote with only requirement to come onsite maybe 1x a week for lab work.

Degrees/certifications required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field required

Must-Have Skills:
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network fundamentals.
Familiarity with common networking technologies and devices (e.g., Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Load Balancers, DNS, and DHCP).
3 years of Network Engineering, Linux/Unix, and Python experience

Nice-to-have Skills:
Experience with Optics & Transceivers
Data center engineering knowledge

Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic ability to work independently
Strong time management skills
Team player

Years of overall experience required? QA Engineer with 5 years of experience in Networking & Automation

Overview:
The candidate should be able to understand and perform optical link-validation and have a network engineering device background. The role provides playbooks, runbooks, wikis, and documentation for support, and the individual will work alongside an engineer.

Role Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Run link-validations across multiple optical modules
Perform manual testing of FW upgrade of optics
Co-ordinate on lab intakes for perform the optics validation
