About The Role The QA Testing Analyst Lead for the IT Commercial Technology group plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of data within the organization’s data warehouse environment. This position involves leading manual testing efforts and acting as the project test lead across multiple concurrent projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing comprehensive test strategies that support systems impacting Commercial Operations. A significant aspect of this role involves expertise in Extraction, Transform, Load (ETL) testing, particularly within Snowflake and AWS environments. The role requires close collaboration with project resources including test analysts, project managers, and business subject matter experts to ensure seamless testing processes and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of ETL testing experience in a data warehouse environment
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and AWS cloud platforms
  • 3+ years of leading QA Analysts and managing testing teams
  • 2+ years of test automation experience, utilizing frameworks such as PyTest, Cucumber, Selenium, or DBT
  • Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts including star schema, snowflake schema, data lineage, and transformations
  • Experience with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines, particularly Azure DevOps
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead QA efforts for data ingestion, ETL pipelines, and data warehouse transformations across staging, integration, and Snowflake environments
  • Perform manual ETL testing, validating source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, lineage, reconciliation, and system balancing controls to ensure data completeness and integrity
  • Execute SQL-based data validation for large datasets and high-volume batch processes, troubleshooting data issues and source-to-target mismatches
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with business teams, including planning, execution support, and translating technical issues into business-friendly language
  • Contribute to automation initiatives by developing initial automated test cases and identifying repetitive validation scenarios suitable for automation
  • Document test plans, test cases, results, and evidence in Azure DevOps, maintaining accurate source-to-target mapping spreadsheets
  • Provide regular status updates on QA activities and lead defect triage sessions to facilitate timely issue resolution
  • Lead and mentor QA analysts, set testing strategies, and manage project priorities to ensure consistency and best practices in testing processes
