Matrix Providers is hiring a Psychiatric Technician or LPNLVN to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville FL Role Hospital based; In Patient Behavioral Health UnitSchedule Psych Tech is scheduled as follows for two week period6 total 125 hour shifts 30 minute uncompensated lunch1 total 85 hour shift 30 minute uncompensated lunchCompensation 2321 to 2850hr H&W 509hrBenefits Competitive financial package with a comprehensive insurance package including health dental vision and life coverageAccrued Paid Time Off PTOPaid Holidays Outlined in Handbook401k PlanPsychiatric Technician or LPNLVN Minimum Qualifications Degree CertificateEducation Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program; or completion of equivalent education and experience that meets the requirement of the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians or completion of education and experience as a behavioral science specialisttechnician in the United States military and proof of having completed an Armed Forces course involving a psychiatric technician training or civilian course from an accredited school in the care of behavioral health patientsExperience One year 1 of experience as a Psychiatric Technician after graduationCertifications in addition to Basic Life Support For LPNLVN Advance Cardiac Life Support ACLSJob Summary for Psychiatric Technician or LPNLVN Conduct or assist in treatment and rehabilitation of patients Perform initial basic assessment procedures including standardized psychological testing clinical interviewing mental status examinations substance abuse evaluations and psychological and nursing assessment Identify mental health and nursing diagnoses and provide patient education Observe monitor record and report patients progress Conduct or assist in conducting group and individual counseling therapeutic community and other related milieu activities Institute precautionary measures to prevent patient injury or suicide Assist patients with nutritional hygiene and comfort measures Obtain and record vital signs Coordinate with other agencies regarding specified care treatment prevention rehabilitation and administrative functions Contact military and community agencies to obtain collateral information Explain and interpret mental health services to patients or others Assist in or arrange patient referral to public private and military community agencies Prepare and maintain records and reports pertaining to specialty services Assist with care of individuals experiencing acute and post traumatic stress reactions Prepare and maintain treatment records We support our employees with an accessible dedicated representative to assist you throughout the duration of your contract We firmly believe that a healthy worklife balance enables you to perform at your best Our mission is to serve Americas military family by aligning exceptional healthcare workers like you with rewarding career opportunities Come home to Matrix INDKK
