About the Opportunity:

This role involves developing, analyzing, and maintaining comprehensive project master schedules and project controls within the renewable energy industry. The project scheduler will conduct detailed schedule health checks, perform in-depth schedule reviews, and create integrated master project schedules aligned with industry best practices. The position requires advanced analytical skills to execute earned value management (EVM) analysis and track project performance using metrics such as schedule performance index (SPI), cost performance index (CPI), and variance analysis. The candidate will prepare performance measurement baselines and analyses for the project management team. Collaboration with internal experts and project stakeholders will ensure accurate schedule development, proactive risk management, and cost performance tracking across engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects to maintain efficiency, control costs, and meet critical milestones.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Business Development and Operations teams to develop preliminary project schedules for estimating and proposals.

• Create, maintain, and update the Integrated Master Project Schedule (IMPS) with required work breakdown structures (WBS).

• Develop and maintain project breakdown structures (WBS, CBS, OBS) for project planning.

• Ensure schedules include proper logic ties, dependencies, and resource alignment across disciplines and contractors.

• Manage weekly schedule updates during construction, validating progress with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain schedule performance indicators including SPI, critical path, float trends, and earned value metrics.

• Monitor and advise on critical and near-critical path activities using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).

• Gather and verify project data from engineering, procurement, subcontractors, and field progress to ensure schedule accuracy.

• Prepare schedule narratives, progress curves, and scenario analyses for risk assessments and senior leadership reporting.

• Provide early warnings on deviations from baseline plans and collaborate on recovery plans.

• Support integration of project controls by coordinating with cost control, risk management, and reporting teams.

• Travel up to 25% for site visits, planning meetings, and client support during construction phases.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Scheduling Manager.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6; working knowledge of MS Project or similar tools.

• Understanding of EPC project sequencing and interdependencies (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning).

• Ability to develop, monitor, and interpret schedule performance metrics such as critical path, float, SPI, and earned value.

• Experience integrating contractor, vendor, and supplier schedules into master schedules.

• Proficiency in project controls functions including earned value management (EVM), schedule performance index (SPI), cost control, risk management, and reporting.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify schedule risks and recommend recovery strategies.

• Effective communication skills to present complex scheduling data to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
