We’re an NYC-based AI startup backed by top investors, founders, and creators. We’re building Cursor for video editing, helping creators turn hours of raw footage into an editable rough cut in minutes.
Our founders are an ex-YC engineer from Georgia Tech and an exited founder / filmmaker from NYU. We’re a small, focused team working closely with users, and we’re looking for another strong product engineer to join us.
What You’ll Do
Own product surfaces end-to-end from frontend UI to backend logic. You’ll ship fast, collaborate daily with design and founders, and help turn ambitious ideas into production features.
You Bring
• 4–10 years of professional experience as a product engineer or full-stack developer.
• Fluency in React + TypeScript, with a track record of building and shipping complex UIs (web, desktop, or mobile).
• Comfort working across the stack with Node (Fastify/Express), Postgres, and GraphQL or a similar setup.
• Strong fundamentals in schema design, API structuring, and integration patterns (queues, websockets, background jobs).
• Familiarity with Figma and modern component systems (like shadcn).
• Bonus: experience with cloud deployment (AWS or GCP) and light infrastructure management.
Who You Are
• Computer Science degree preferred.
• Experience at a startup or FAANG, with shipped, user-facing products.
• Detail-oriented with strong product taste. You care deeply about user experience and craftsmanship.
• Bonus: you enjoy creative tools or have edited videos yourself.
Contract Details
• Start: immediately after a short-paid test project
• Remote: OK if not in the US, with overlap for one daily standup and one team meeting
• Length: long-term contract with a path to full-time role with equity if it’s a great fit
• Compensation: competitive, depending on experience and location
